Spanish for “Mountain View”, Sierra Vista comes by its name honestly. A major population center for southeastern Arizona, Sierra Vista rests among the Huachuca, Dragoon, Mule and Whetstone Mountains.

Located just 30 short miles south of Interstate 10, and 70 miles southeast of Tucson, Sierra Vista is the main commercial, cultural and recreational center in Cochise County. There is convenient shopping, museums and parks to visit, as well as a number of facilities for activities such as golf, tennis, and racquetball.

One can also experience a bit of the Old West charm and enjoy a rodeo. At an altitude of 4,623 feet, there is abundant sunshine adding to the city’s comfort and appeal.

Located in Sierra Vista is Fort Huachuca, home of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and School. A relatively new city, Sierra Vista incorporated in 1956.
